Laminated Safety Glass consists of 2 or more sheets of ordinary glass, sandwiched together by a PVB (polyvinyl butyral) interlayer.
The key features of this type of glass are –
- Safety The PVB interlayer is what holds the glass together when it’s integrity is compromised, therefore reducing the risk to people and property. An example of this
- Security The PVB interlayers can absorb the energy that comes from impact and are penetration resistant.
- Light This type of glass blocks 99% of UV sun rays, thus reducing fading to carpet’s and furniture.
